out of breath, the Bordeaux dolphin takes care of the essence by winning against Nîmes (1-0)

The Bordelais take the game from the right and dominate the first twenty minutes against the timid Crocos: David Guion’s players stand out with a free kick from captain Barbet above (7th), a deep pass from Bokele – attacking in sight on his right – for Maja (17th), and Davitashvili’s attempts diverted by the Nîmes goalkeeper Maraval (19th, 20th). Twenty minutes, and then nothing. Or almost, until this curled shot of Fransergio fleeing through the skylight (45th). Inevitably, the Gardois gain confidence: Poussin must work particularly against Said (38th) or Labonne (40th), proof that the relegated did not come to Matmut as atoning victims.

Maja misses the double

After a quarter of an hour balanced but not very rhythmic, the Girondins have the chance to finally open the meeting: when Gard loses the ball, Davitashvili Maja shifts, but the ball stabbed by the Nigerian international lacks conviction (65th). Just like Barbet’s header a few moments later from a corner kick (74th). Uninspired, Bordeaux tries to accelerate against crocodiles that physically tell the time. It will eventually pay off.
