Maja and Kalulu save Bordeaux and Sochaux, Metz on the lookout

Bordeaux and Sochaux, who were discreet during much of their encounters, took victory late in the game thanks to goals from Josh Maja and Aldo Kalulu. Bordeaux and Sochaux remain second and third but are closely followed by Metz, victorious over QRM (2-1).

Against Nîmes, Bordeaux was slow this Saturday evening. The Girondins waited the last ten minutes to settle the game against Matmut Atlantique. Josh Maja is served on the penalty spot by Pitu and is blocked by Burner for six yards, but follows and scores from the right, tackling the ball. A victory with tweezers that leaves Bordeaux second. Nîmes sinks and finishes 19th.

Sochaux received Grenoble this Saturday for an important meeting with a direct competitor for the climb. After a dying first company with no real chances, the Sochaliens found fault at the very end of the game with a shot from a tight angle signed Aldo Kalulu. This success keeps Olivier Guégan’s herd third, two points behind Bordeaux.

Metz needed a little less time to find the flaw against QRM. Youssef Maziz waited until the 72nd minute to put his in front of the head. Habib Maïga doubled the lead (2-0, 80th) for the Garnets before Mamadou Camara narrowed the gap too late (2-1, 90th). This victory leaves the Moselle in fourth place in the game and five points behind Bordeaux.

Bastia and Valenciennes winners, Dijon sinks

Author of a double last week against Valenciennes (2-2), Franck Magri (1-0, 66th) brought victory to Bastia this Saturday on the lawn of Paris FC. This success keeps the Corsicans fifth.

Caen won at home against Valenciennes. While Ugo Bonnet (30th) had let the VAFC equalize after Bilal Brahimi’s opener (1-0, 9th), Alexandre Mendy let the Normans take the lead at the end of the game (2-1, 77th). Caen is sixth.

In the Unicorn stadium, Amiens was surprised by Rodez (1-3). While Lorenzo Rajot had opened the scoring for the Ruthénois (1-0, 12th), Janis Antiste had the Amiens come back quickly (1-1, 19th). Rodez started in the second half thanks to goals from Sambou Soumano (2-1, 62nd) and Killian Corredor (3-1, 76th).

In the other meetings, Annecy and Guingamp neutralized each other, in particular Moïse Sahi Dion’s eleventh goal this season in the Championship (1-1). Dijon sinks into the relegation zone after the home defeat against Pau, a direct competitor of the keeper. The only scorer of this meeting is the TFC loaned striker, Yanis Begraoui (1-0, 30th).

In the end, a lively encounter turned in Niort’s favor against Laval (3-2). In Deux-Sèvres, the Niortaise red lantern won at the very end of the race thanks to a penalty converted by Kévin Rocheteau (88th). A setback that hurts the now relegated Laval.
